Kenya: Boda Boda Men Meet With Cops

Bodaboda operators in Eldoret have been advised to avoid carrying more than one passenger especially at night.

Speaking at Segero trading centre during a peace meeting, OCPD Erastus Muthamia said this is for their own security saying it is easier for them to defend themselves against one attacker than two.

The meeting brought together police heads from both Uasin Gishu and Trans-Nzoia to quell a dispute between neighbouring communities in the region following the killing of a bodaboda operator few days ago.

Muthamia also asked them to provide information to police when they see suspicious activity.
