Uganda: Cranes Decorated

Last Friday January 11, the Uganda Sports Press Association (Uspa) handed the Uganda Cranes the accolade for the sports personality of the month of December for their gallant display at the Cecafa Tusker Cup.

The Nile breweries event was held at the Lugogo Tennis club and Cranes Captain Hassan Wasswa and striker Robert Ssentongo were on hand to receive the glass-made accolade from Uspa president, Mark Namanya.

Flanked by Livingstone Kyambadde, the Fufa Vice President Technical, Wasswa expressed his delight on behalf of his team-mates, saying the gesture would inspire the players. Weightlifter Jamil Lubega was also present to receive his award for the sports personality of the month of November. He was draped in his medals which he won last year at the continental events.
