Nigeria: N17m Scam - EFCC to Dock Kaduna Deputy Speaker Monday

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Sunday, said it will arraign the Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Mato Dary Dogara before a Federal High Court in Kaduna, over an alleged N17 million fraud.

A statement by the spokesman of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said the commission will on Monday January 14, 2013, dock hon. Mato Dary Dogara alongside five other suspects.

According to Wilson, "He will be docked alongside five others, including Kabiru Tahir Malali and Ahmed Yahaya former Chairman and Treasurer respectively of Lere Local Government, Kaduna State on a six count charge that borders on contract over invoicing and criminal diversion of funds."

"Hon. Dogara is a former Chairman of Lere Local Government and had also served as Commissioner in the state." The statement said.
