Tunisia: Ben Guerdane Protest Turns Violent

Labour protests in Tunisia's Ben Guerdane turned violent on Thursday (January 10th), TAP reported. Protestors raided the local Ennahda offices, ransacked cars seized by customs and torched a police station and a cereal warehouse.

The Regional Labour Union (URT) organised a general strike earlier on Thursday to demand employment opportunities and economic development.
