Nigeria: CD Lauds S-East Govs, Others On Security

Umuahia — CAMPAIGN for Democracy, CD, has commended South East governors and security agencies in the zone for maintaining a crime free Christmas and New Year celebrations.

CD, in a statement signed by the zonal chairman and secretary, Mr. Uzor A. Uzor and Dr. Jerry Chukwuokolo, said the governors in the zone did their best to maintain security during the period.

"CD would want to appreciate in particular the Nigerian Army, State Security Services, SSS, Police, Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, as well as FRSC," the statement said.

The group said the state governors needed to be appreciated for their roles in motivating and providing logistics for security personnel, which enabled them to work effectively in fighting criminals.
