Libya-Italy Economic Forum Opens

Libyan General National Congress (GNC) head Mohamed Magarief on Thursday (January 10th) co-chaired the Italy-Libya bilateral economic forum in Rome, Libya Herald reported.

"Libya must face complex challenges: creating effective security and judicial institutions, disarming the militias, generating new job opportunities, reconstructing the social and economic fabric," Italian Foreign Minister and event co-chair Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata said in his opening address.

The event was attended by representatives of 70 Italian companies and banks.
