Bardo — On the sidelines of the celebration on Monday of the second anniversary of the Revolution, Tunisia's new social pact has been signed Monday morning at the premises of the Constituent Assembly by Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, Labour Union (UGTT) Secretary-General Houssine Abassi and Mrs. Wided Bouchamaoui, head of Tunisia's Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union (UTICA).
The signing ceremony was attended notably by International Labour Organisation Director General Guy Ryder and Belgian labour Minister Monica De Coninck.
The new social pact, which comes into force as soon as it is signed, includes 5 major lines, namely : "economic growth and regional development," "employment and vocational training policies," "professional relations and decent work," "social welfare," "institutionalisation of the three-party social dialogue".
