Pretoria — The City of Tshwane has urged commuters using the Tshwane Bus Service (TBS) to find alternative transport until its services are restored.
The city decided to shut down the service following Thursday's sit-in by some of the company's bus drivers, which turned into a strike this morning due to an overtime misunderstanding.
Spokesperson for the City of Tshwane, Nomasonto Ndlovu, said there will be no bus services until further notice.
"Further negotiations between the City, the South African Municipal Workers Union, the Independent Municipal and Allied Workers Union are taking place to ensure that services are swiftly restored. Commuters are urged to find alternative transport until the service is restored."
She said the city sincerely apologises to all commuters who will be adversely affected by the strike.-SAnews.gov.za
