Gambia: Ex-GPA Cashier Case Adjourned

The economic crime case involving former cashier of the Gambia Ports Authority, Jahou Jammeh, could not proceed recently at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

When the case was called, the court was told that the prosecution and their witness were not in court.

The trial judge at that juncture adjourned the case till 14 January 2013, for the prosecution to continue with his witness.

It would be recalled that the prosecution had so far called several witnesses and tendered several exhibits in support of their case.
