Gambia: Savage Close to Scoring in HJK Camp Win

Demba Savage came close to scoring in HJK Helsinki club friendlies against Norwegian side Strömsgodset on Thursday.

Only eight minutes into the game, Mikael Forssell's shot gave HJK their opening goal, according to hjk.fi.

The result has given HJK a third-place finish in a warm-up match for the tournament in Maspalomas.

The team missed a final spot after losing 5-3 to Twentelle in penalty shootout on Monday.

The team was expected to return on Sunday to their home country.

HJK are also getting set for their league cup outing against Honka and MYPA next week.

On February 13, HJK are set to face another Norwegian side Honefoss at a Vantaa tournament.

Swedish side Djurgardens IF will also play the Finnish giants in the side tournament on 16 February 2013.
