Egypt: Qandil Chairs Meeting On Protecting Nile River From Pollution

The Supreme Council for the River Nile Protection held a meeting Sunday, under Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, in the presence of a host of ministers.

The meeting tackled progress made so far to implement the recommendations of the 13th meeting of the technical secretariat of the Supreme Council for the River Nile Protection, which took place on December 25, 2012.

The meeting also discussed the measures taken to protect the River Nile against pollution. Meanwhile, Qandil said that polluting the River Nile is a red line, as it is the lifeline of the country.
