Prime Minister Hisham Qandil welcomed on Sunday13/1/2012 visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad and congratulated him on the newly obtained observer status at the UN, promising continued Egyptian support for the Palestinian reconciliation.
Fayad was thankful for Egypt's role in advocating the Palestinian cause and its interference to end the Israeli offensive on Gaza.
