Angola: Over 80 Carnival Groups to Parade in Huíla Province

Lubango — Eighty-one carnival groups from which 43 in children's category, representing 14 municipalities of Huíla Province have registered to participatye in the 2013 Carnival, set to happen on February 12, at João II Square, in Lubango.

The fact was presented to ANGOP in the city of Lubango by the provincial board of Culture, Maria Marcelina Gomes, who stressed that groups from 14 municipalities of Huíla Province will participate in this year's edition, with Lubango having the biggest number of participants, 12.

The source informed that the registration will end on January 31.

According to Maria Marcelina Gomes, for this edition, the Provincial Commission of Carnival has available more than five million Kwanzas, in order to reward the top three winners, as well as purchase of costumes.
