Kenya: Kamenchu Quits Labour Party

Youthful presidential aspirant Kingwa Kamenchu has pulled out of Labour Party. Kamenchu quit after the party joined Cord Alliance against her wish.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, she denied that she had given up her presidential ambitions for the sake of Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

A statement signed by her presidential campaign team leader, Mulialia Okumu, said she will instead announce a new party before Friday. She will also choose her running mate before then.
