Kampala — The highly anticipated Bell Nation Concert that was due for December 29, 2012 has been pushed forward to the Easter Weekend.

The concert failed to take place late last year after the Jamaican duo, Mavado and Chris Martin failed to turn up for the gig.

Speaking from a recorded video, the acclaimed artistes apologized to all Ugandans thus; "Uganda, we sincerely apologize for having missed the show on the new year's weekend but you can be rest assured of the best performance East Africa has ever seen when we rock Kampala Uganda, so get ready for the best 'aktion' packed show ever with non-stop entertainment during the Easter weekend." Mavado and Chris Martin declared.

The concert sponsors, Uganda Breweries Limited under their flagship brand, Bell Lager have thus sent apologies to revelers and other stakeholders for the failure by the international artists to appear for the Bell Nation concert at the end of last year's Bell Lager party.

Speaking at their Headquarters at Port Bell, Mr. Richard Wejuli Wabwire, Corporate Relations Director for EABL said, "Following the postponement of the end of last year's concert, UBL acknowledges that it is not about quickly bringing the Jamaican duo to Uganda but rather about what dates should be most convenient for our consumers. We do believe this coming Easter Holiday will be an excellent time to celebrate the biggest concert with Bell Lager."

He also added that, "Mavado and Chris Martin had indeed confirmed their attendance and their travel arrangements had been fully booked and paid for. Their failure to show up for the party as advertised was therefore unseen and we express our sincerest apologies on behalf of the artists for their failure to turn up."

Mavado and Chris Martin will both be performing for the first time in East Africa and are promising to put up their biggest performances ever. Mavado will be performing his chart busters such as 'Aktion Pak', 'So Special', 'Settle down', 'Final destination', 'Come into my room' while Chris Martin, the ladies' man will certainly turn up the heat with his biggest hits such as 'Paper loving', 'Cheaters prayer' and many more

Ms. Grace Nshemeire-Gwaku the UBL Marketing Director also adds that the tickets already purchased as well as complementary tickets previously given to consumers are still valid.

She says, "Do not hesitate to present them at the gates. We assure you that this will be the party to remember this year and commend you to share the fun and buy a ticket for a friend, relative or loved one this Easter as we celebrate with Mavado, Chris Martin and other artists."
