Eritrea: Arubi Moving Toward Community Living - Report

Assab — The inhabitants of Arubi Administrative area, Southern Red Sea region, who have been leading nomadic style of living, have expressed readiness to resort to community pattern of living.

They voiced their readiness at a meeting they conducted with Mr. Ali Mahmoud, the regional Administrator, during which it was stated that such living style is a crucial prerequisite for effective utilization of social service services.

The regional Administrator further pointed out the need for taking quick step towards such lifestyle so as to ensure well-timed benefit of social service facilities, especially pertaining to education. The inhabitants on their part indicated that they have already started popularizing the initiative.
