Zimbabwe: Tight to Feature Son On Album

CELEBRATED afro-jazz crooner Willom will feature his son Gary Tight on his upcoming album titled "Topinde Mukati". Gary said the album will afford him a chance to be heard alongside his mentor and father Willom.

The 10-track album features hits like "Pachiso", "Mutende" and "Ndazonyora" spiced up with mbira, drums and a profound afro-classic flavour.

"Pashiso is a celebratory song while Mutende gives thanks to the Lord for his mercy and love.

"Ndazonyora is a healing song for all those who have been faced with troubles of life," said the 18-year-old Gary.

According to Willom Tight, born Willbroad Muponda, the album promises to be a masterpiece.

"I have been working with my son since he was still a little boy and our joint venture will last for more years to come.

"We promise this album will leave a lasting impression to all our fans and everyone who loves jazz," he said.

It is hoped that the album will be released mid-year.

The two are busy in studio putting the final touches in time for the release date.

Willom recently brought new musical equipment from South Africa for his studio where he is recording.
