Luanda — Angola will participate in the meeting of Africa's health ministers on January 16-18, in Ethiopia, announces the state secretary of health, Carlos Alberto Masseca, Angop has learnt.
Topping the agenda are the infantile mortality rate, as well as a balance of the Africa's participation in the latest meeting of the world health organization, that occurred in 2012 in the United States of America.
According to the government official, the meeting will be preceded by another one where will be assessed the progresses recorded in Africa throughout 2012 and the share of experience of each country in the maternal death rate reduction.
The Minister also said that Angola will present last reports that show the efforts of the Angolan Executive towards the reduction of the infantile death rate. "One of the strategies of the Angolan Executive to lessen the infantile mortality is the improvement of people living standards, such as basic sanitation, education and agriculture", he said.
