Nigeria: FG to Invest N18 Billion On Teacher Training in 2013

The Minister for Education Professor Ruqayyah Ahmed Rufai, yesterday revealed that the FG was set to invest over N18 billion for teacher training and development in 2013.

Speaking with journalists while receiving in audience members of GEMS Education Solution in Abuja yesterday, she said, "The FG was set to invest N12 billion to introduce multimedia teaching laboratories in all Colleges of Education in the country, both at the state and national level in line with the projection that multimedia training will ensure better teaching qualities than what obtains now as well as invest N6.6 billion on the development and equipping of technical colleges in the country"
