Angola: Goalkeeper Lamá Fit for CAN After Injury

Johannesburg — The Angolan Lamá said to be ready to serve as goalkeeper for national soccer team during the African Cup of the Nations (CAN2013) scheduled from 19 January to 10 February in South Africa.

Lamá sustained the injury on Sunday during friendly match against Botswana in Soweto region, in Johannesburg.

According to national team's physician, Caetano Maria, who was speaking Monday to the press, the tests were conducted to determine the results proved negative, adding that this is an evidence of 70 percent's recovery of the athlete.

The head of the medical team also said that the player will rest for 48 hours and resume only the work next Wednesday.

At the inaugural round, Angola will face Morocco, both of group A, at Soccer City stadium.
