Tunisia: Marzouki Confers With Moroccan Parliament Speaker and Foreign Minister

Tunis — Moroccan Speaker of Parliament Karim Ghalleb, Monday, commended "the sacrifices made by the Tunisian people for the sake of freedom and dignity" and "the hope they have given to several Arab nations."

Speaking after a meeting with President Marzouki, which was attended by the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Mr. Ghalleb said talks focused on ways to develop bilateral co-operation and allowed to discuss a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Mr. Ghalleb, who is leading his country's delegation to the festivities of the 2nd anniversary of the Tunisian Revolution, said "President Marzouki has sent an invitation to King Mohamed VI to visit Tunisia". The visit will be an opportunity to look at mutual initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and giving an impetus to the Maghreb construction and the hopes for progress and prosperity it represents for peoples in the region, he underlined.
