Angola: Fugitives Could Be in Angola

Five trial-awaiting prisoners who escaped from the Grootfontein police holding cells last Thursday evening may be in Angola, Deputy Commissioenr Moses Khairabeb said yesterday.

Khairabeb said information received by the police indicate that the five fugitives may be in Angola, since most of them originate from Oshikango in the Ohangwena Region, near the border with Angola.

The five men escaped between 21h00 and 23h00 last Thursday and are believed to be armed and dangerous.

The suspects are Monila Sakeus, aka Nandita, age unknown. Sakeus is believed to be the most dangerous of the five men. He has several cases pending against him, including robberies and housebreaking.

The second suspect is Petrus Shikulo, aka Taliban, the third is Pius Someb, and the fourth is Hausiku Simon, and Johannes Natangwe, aka Maniki.

Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of the five men is urged to contact Deputy Commissioner Khairabeb on 081244-5991 or 067 300 614.
