Gambia: Man Docked for Threatening Violence

One Ebrima Jallow, a native of Kerr Serign on Thursday appeared before Magistrate Kijera of the Bundung Magistrates' Court. The accused is charged with threatening violence, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia. He however denied the allegation and was granted bail in the sum of D50,000 with two Gambian sureties.

The particulars of the offence revealed that on the 27th December 2012 at Kerr Serign in the Kombo North District, the accused person, with intent to intimidate or annoy, threatened to kill one Andrew Camara, there by committed an offence.

When the case was called, the prosecutor, Cpl 3466 Sawanehapplied for an adjournment in order to call his witness to testify in the next adjourned date. Hearing continues on January 17th, 2013.
