What appears to be a dark cloud might hang over Bong County District Number Five Representative Edward Karfiah, after making a self-declaration as Bong County Senator Jewel Howard Taylor's Campaign Manager in the coming 2014 senatorial race.

"I hereby declared that I will serve as campaign manager for Senator Jewel Howard Taylor in the 2014 senatorial election," Karfiah disclosed during a program organized by the senator in his district.

The Representative, who worked in the office of Senator Taylor before his election in 2011, said he will enter in all corners of Bong County to ensure that the Senator is re-elected.

Since the declaration, the lawmaker's statement has received widespread condemnation with some citizens of the county wondering whether he would abandon is duties to campaign for the Senator.

Senator Taylor, who received the highest vote in the 2005 senatorial election, has been accused failing to properly execute her three cardinal functions as a lawmaker. Her irregular visitation to Bong County, coupled with identity crisis, calling herself a Lofan continue to ring on the lips of many ordinary citizens in the county.

Some young people in district number five have also expressed concern over the Senator's alleged failure to construct a youth center promised in 2011. In spite of this, many still see Senator Taylor as a formidable candidate in the coming race. If it meets Senator Taylor's approval, Representative Karfiah's declaration could bolster her campaign team.

The lawmaker's critics say he might use his authority in other places with high illiteracy to coerce support for the incumbent senator in the very highly populated district.

The program which was held by Senator Taylor to reconcile her Political Advisor Marvin Cole and Representative Karfiah has been viewed as a political tactic to solidify her campaign team ahead of the midterm senatorial election. But critics say she should have settled the dispute between the two men when they were together in her office rather than now for political expediency.
