Vandals destroyed the mausoleum in Sidi Bou Said, the Tunisian presidency announced on Sunday (January 13th).
"This crime against our culture and history must not go unpunished," the statement said about the arson attack in the tourist town near Tunis.
Residents marched to protest the violence.
