South Africa: Coach Gordon Igesund Is 'Very Pleased With the Performance of His Team'

No worries, we can read in the words of Igesund Gordon, the coach of South Africa after two friendly matches for the Afcon 2013. The Bafana Bafana is on a par with Algeria (0-0) and conceded defeat against Norway (0-1).

"I was very pleased with the performance. We played a very good game against a qualified team which ranked second in Africa. So I was very pleased with the performance and thought we were the best team there. I'm not worried about anything at this stage. The team is improving all the time. When the tournament will start, we'll see if the team cannot score goals, "said the South African technician.

Igesund call supporters upon to unite behind the team for a good performance at Afcon.

"It is time for the people of South Africa to be really behind the team, otherwise we cannot continue this way. Tonight, the fans were fantastic and that is how we should move forward. Players need support, "said Igesund.
