Nigeria: African Youth Athletics LOC for Inauguration

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the maiden African Youth Athletics Championships slated for Warri in April, is to be inaugurated Wednesday in Asaba.

According to the programme of the inauguration scheduled to hold at the Unity Hall of the Delta State Government House in Asaba, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan will perform the ceremony at 11am to formally kick-start preparations for the youth athletic fiesta.

The LOC is headed by Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick.

Other members include former African queen of the track, Mary Onyali-Omagbemi, Technical Director of the AFN, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama, Director of Delta Sports Commission, Victor Onogagamue and Patrick Origho.

Others include; NUGA President, Dr Ken Anugweje, Bukola Olopade, Chairman of Warri South LGA and Delta State commissioner of police. AFN Scribe, Maria Wophil is also the secretary of the Warri 2013 LOC.
