Eritrea: Health Service in the Southern Red Sea Region Described Commendable

Assab — The Health Ministry's branch in the Southern Red Sea region indicated that the quality of service rendered last year was commendable in line with the efforts exerted to raise the distribution of health institutions. It made the statement at a meeting conducted in the port city of Asab during which Mr. Asefaw Gebremichael, head of the branch office, pointed out that the Ministry would step up endeavors to this end.

Reports presented by sub-zonal branches elaborate that health institutions in the region have made significant impact pertaining to community sensitization, besides the fact that antenatal and postnatal care have become effective.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdu Idris, head of the PFDJ branch in the region, said that developing health expertise is among the top priorities of the nation as regards promoting the health sector, and called on health personnel in the region to enhance role in their respective careers.
