Angola: Former Combatants to Get Outstanding Pensions This Month

Luanda — The secretary of State for Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, Clemente Cunjuca, on Monday here guaranteed that the institution will start this month the payment of the outstanding pensions relating to the month of December, including the 13th month bonus.

Speaking to ANGOP, in Ingombota district, the official assured that the payment is currently being prepared by the Finance Ministry.

"This delay has nothing to do with liquidity problems, but administrative procedures (...)", he said, further stressing that former combatants are moral reserves of the Angolan society.

He also appealed to the beneficiaries of the pension to be calm, because the delays will be overcome as soon as possible.
