Saurimo — The deputy governor of northeastern Lunda Sul province for Economic Affairs, Wilson Nelson Daniel Sakape, Tuesday in Saurimo reaffirmed the Government's commitment to a special attention to the ex-combatants and veterans of the motherland and promote social solidarity and responsibility.
The official was speaking during the event that marked the celebrations of the January 15, the Ex-combatants and Motherland Veterans Day.
He said that in declaring the date, the Government expressed its deepest recognition of the importance of preserving a patriotic consciousness.
The deputy governor stated as well that the independence, peace and national reconciliation so hardly attained, are inalienable values of the Angolan people, the reason for a continued special attention to the brave conquers of these ideals.
In his turn, Elias Dala, acting director of the Ministry of Ex-combatants and Veterans of the Motherland in the province, said the day is a great victory not only for the ex-combatants, but for all Angolans who somehow made a contribution to the attainment of the national independence and freedom of the country.
