Tunisia: Marzouki Receives Message of 'Friendship and Support' From François Hollande

Carthage — Relations between Tunisia and France and means to develop them were the focus of President Moncef Marzouki's meeting, on Tuesday, with Minister delegate for French Nationals Abroad Hélène Conway-Mouret.

The latter presented President Marzouki with a message of "friendship and support" from President François Hollande, in which he reasserts France's support to the Tunisian people in this stage of their history and expresses confidence about the success of the democratic transition process the country is going through, a communiqué of the Presidency of the Republic reads.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the latest developments in Mali and "France's vision" regarding the military intervention in this country which, according to Mrs. Conway-Mouret, "is imposed by the presence of terrorist groups threatening Mali's territorial integrity."
