Egypt: Court Refers Upper House Case to State Commissioners, Adjourns Verdict in Constituent Assembly

Egypt's High Constitutional Court decided on Tuesday to refer appeals to dissolve the Shura Council (upper house of parliament) to sate commissioners for recommendation in light of the new pleadings of the defence.

In the same hearing, Egypt's highest court decided to postpone its ruling in the legality of the assembly that wrote the new constitution to February 3.
