Zambia: MP Donates to Women's Club

WUSAKILE Member of Parliament (MP) Richard Musukwa has donated items worth KR15,000 to two women's club in his constituency.

Mr Musukwa donated 11 sewing machines to Bomba Ngolye and Twime women clubs as a way of empowering women.

He said it was Government's aim to increase entrepreneurial skills in women so that they did not lag behind in development.

Mr Musukwa, who is Mines, Energy and Water Development Deputy Minister said the Patriotic Front (PF) Government was determined to empower women and youths with survival skills.

Mr Musukwa also donated KR1,000 to each club and a wheel chair for a child who was born physically-challenged and had had difficulties to walk.

In receiving the donation, constituency chairperson Davies Kangwa commended the MP for donating to the women's clubs.
