Gambia: Latrikunda German Community Receives Donation

Dutch Philanthropists from Holland recently donated clothes among others to the community of Latrikunda German. The donated items included clothes, books, bed sheets and building materials, among other things.

Speaking to the Daily Observer, Bennie Ahlers, the head of the delegation, expressed delight at extending a helping hand to the community of Latrikunda German. He revealed that the donation was made possible through some Dutch families in Holland who contributed a lot to gather items for them. He urged the people of the community to make best use of the donated items.

For his part, Father Jean Noel Faye, assistant parish priest at St. Therese Church, said that the items would go a long way in helping the beneficiaries. He commended the donors for a job well done, whilst calling on others to emulate the Dutch philanthropists.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mam Marie Jarju thanked Bennie Ahlers and his delegation for contributing in the development of the country.
