Nigeria: Presidency Silent Over First Lady's Medical Trip

The Presidency yesterday maintained silence over reports that First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has returned to Germany for medical attention.

The First Lady was reported to have travelled out of the country to Germany few months after she returned from a similar trip amidst speculation that she was hospitalised for an undisclosed ailment.

Efforts to get clarification from the First Lady's media aide, Ayo Osinlu did not yield result yesterday night as he did not pick calls put to his phone and did not also reply a text message sent to him.

Mrs Jonathan spent about two months in Germany and returned to the country October 17 last year after undergoing medical check-up.

On arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the First Lady denied being hospitalised in Germany, saying that death in office was not for every First Lady.
