Mauritanian League Day 9 Roundup

The 9th day of the Mauritanian championship was marked by another ASAC Concorde failure as they were held to a 1-1 draw by ASC Armée on Saturday (January 12th). ASAC Concorde are currently in third place in the standings with 18 points.

ASC Ksar maintained their league lead after beating ASC Police 2-0 on Friday.

In Nouadhibou's Municipal Stadium on Friday, F.C. Nouadhibou gave little ground to their visitors from ASC Trarza. Al Mamy Traoré struck in the 20th minute and Yacoub Fall scored the second goal in the 80th minute.

The 2-0 win moves the Oranges into second place in the standings with 20 points.

Defending champions T. Zeina inflicted a heavy 4-0 defeat on ASC Assaba. The win was due two doubles from Ely Cheikh Ould Voulani (22' and 76') and Alioune Golaré (30' and 65'), both finding their way through to the net.
