Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi is confident his youngsters are prepared for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which begins in South Africa this weekend.

Despite heading to South Africa with 17 debutants, the Super Eagles go into the tournament as one of the favourites, and Keshi has reinforced that belief.

"The team on ground is well prepared for action at the 2013 Nations Cup and again I urge Nigerians to line up behind the team in a bid to bring greater glory to the country at the tournament," Keshi said, according to Media Officer Ben Alaiya.

The Super Eagles handler on Monday equalled his team to the 20134 Africa Cup of Nations to the one he captained in 1994 to win the African soccer fiesta in Tunisia.

Keshi, who spoke in an interview with Supoersport.com from the team's camp in Faro, Portugal, said the team has the potentials good enough to match the team that won the trophy in 1994.

"Many Nigerians don't know how good this team is. I see great potentials in them and they can go places," he said.
