According to the Ivorian international Gervinho, Côte d'Ivoire should redeem the final lost against Zambia. For the Arsenal striker, the Elephants are determined to win the African Cup of Nations 2013.

"We have the chance to redeem from our final lost against Zambia. We are determined to win this year, and to release us from this fate that dogged us for years. "

"We will try to win every game until the end. However, we should not be assumed already in the final. We want to stay focused on each game, "he said.

"We learned a lot from our defeat in the final of the Afcon 2012. We know that we must avoid falling into the same mistakes, "he warned.

"I'm excited and I'm even more motivated than last year when we lost in the final. (...) I tried not to think about it. This should be a great time, unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. It was frustrating, my goal is to redeem myself, and I know I will. "
