Arts Envoy Linda Paik Moriarty visited Algeria from March 25-April 6 to conduct arts management workshops in Algiers, Ghardaia, and Tlemcen. With support from the Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicraft Industry, the Public Affairs Section held trainings for Algerian artisans focused on entrepreneurship and developing products and marketing to local customers and tourists. Mrs. Moriarty shared her 35 years of experience working with handicraft artisans with over 100 Algerian artisans as well as members of the tourism and hotel industries and Algerian government officials.
