Gambia: BAC Gives D15, 000 to Gunjur VDC

Brikama Area Council (BAC) recently presented a cheque for D15,000 to Gunjur Village Development Committee to complete work at the Gunjur Market.

The donation was part of the council's contribution towards the development of communities in the West Coast Region.

In presenting the cheque, the PRO of BAC, Modou Jonga, said the donation was part of council's contribution towards the completion of the market.

According to Jonga, the council is working closely with TARUD to dislocate some dumping sites in Gunjur, adding that many youths in Gunjur would benefit from that project.

For his part, the Chairman of Gunjur Village Development Committee, Demba Jobe Touray, thanked the BAC for the support it is giving to his committee.

He assured the Council that the money would be put into good use thus improving the lives of the market users.
