Eritrea: Five Schools Open in Molqi Sub-Zone

Molqi — The Education Ministry's branch in Molqi sub-zone indicated that five schools have opened during the current academic year, while two others were upgraded to Junior level.

Mr. Surafel Kiflegiorgis, head of the branch office, explained that the new educational facilities were launched in line with the Ministry's strategy of ensuring equitable service, while the upgraded schools are those in Dembe-Kisad and Dembe-Doran villages. He further pointed out that the new schools have ensured educational opportunity to 500 students.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Kesete Asmelash, Mr. Beraki Tekle and Ms. Kibra Beraki lauded the government's commitment to rural development, the impact of which endeavor has become significant in the improvement of their livelihood. Moreover, they expressed satisfaction with the educational service being rendered in the locality.

Mr. Haile Kinfe, director of the Junior school in Dembe-Doran, indicated that the upgrading of its infrastructural facility has provided favorable environment for the teaching-learning process.
