Somalia: President Meets With Somali Community in Khartoum

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud recently met with Somali students and members of the Somali community in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Wednesday (January 2nd).
Mohamud informed the community about the security situation in Somalia and said the government is committed to restoring security. He also thanked the Sudanese government for providing scholarships to Somali students.
Mohamud arrived in Sudan on January 1st to celebrate the 57th anniversary of the country's independence.
