Al-Shabaab militants have arrested more than 100 clerics in El Dheer town in Galgadud for allegedly refusing to recruit fighters, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Friday (January 4th).
The arrested include Qur'an teachers and other local sheikhs.
Exiled District Commissioner Hussein Mohamed said the clerics are being held in a militant camp in the town.
