Somalia: Parliamentarian Survives Roadside Bomb in Mogadishu

Somali lawmaker Mohamed-Nuh Abdullahi suffered minor injuries from a roadside bomb in Mogadishu on Saturday (January 12th), Somalia's Garowe Online reported.

"I was slightly hurt, but one of my two bodyguards is in critical condition," he said. "This attack, and the attack before it, will not stop me from serving my national duties and I will continue my work as a Somali member of parliament."

Abdullahi was involved in a similar explosion in 2012, the news agency reported.

Police are also investigating another roadside explosion in Hodan district on Saturday, according to police spokesman Hassan Barise.
