Arab League member countries have agreed to set up a special development fund for Somalia, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Tuesday (January 1st).
Somali Minister of Development and Social Affairs Maryan Qasim Ahmed said representatives who attended the league summit in Tunisia in late December agreed to financially support Somalia, especially in the education sector.
Ahmed said the meeting in Tunisia was productive. "I am very optimistic about Somalia's education!" she posted on her Twitter account.
