An Osogbo Senior Magistrates' Court on Wednesday sentenced a 30-year-old house wife, Yidiat Bakare, to five years imprisonment for throwing her baby into a dam.

The convict, who pleaded guilty to the offence, committed the crime on Jan. 10 at about 4 pm at Ifon-Osun in Orolu Local Government Area in Osun State.

According to the Prosecutor Joshua Oladoye, the convict has a misunderstanding with her husband Amodu Bakare, over feeding allowance.
