Egypt: Morsi Receives Delegation of U.S. Senate

President Mohammed Morsi received on Wednesday 16/1/2013 a delegation of the US Senate under Senator John McCain.

The meeting took up the recent regional developments and efforts exerted by Egypt for attaining inter-Palestinian reconciliation along with means of ending the Syrian crisis.

The two sides also dwelt on the democratic transition in Egypt and the US support for the Egyptian economy.

From the US side the meeting attended by the delegation accompanying MacCain and from the Egyptian side was Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr and Presidential Aide Essam el-Haddad.

Also, US Ambassador Anne Patterson attended the meeting.
