Nigeria: FG Sends Immigration CG Packing

The Comptroller General of Immigrations, Mrs Rose Uzoma has been directed by the Federal Government to commence her pre-retirement accumulated leaves

In a letter signed on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro by Director/Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. R. K Attahiru and released today (15th January, 2013), the leave will commence tomorrow (16th January, 2013).

"I am directed to convey approval of His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele, GCFR President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for you (Mrs. Rose Chinyere Uzoma) to proceed on your pre retirement accumulated leaves."

The Federal Government also directed that she hand over all documents to, Rilwan Bala Musa who is the most senior Deputy Commandant General in the Service.

"I am to further convey that you are to hand over the duties and responsibilities of your office on or Wednesday, 16th January, 2013 to the most senior Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration in the person of Rilwan Bala Musa MNI, who will act as Comptroller General of Immigration pending the appointment of a substantive CG of Immigration", the statement directed.

Mrs. Uzoma became the Comptroller General of the Service on 30th of December, 2010.
