Nigeria: Doctors Not Being Attacked By Hoodlums - Police

Lagos — The Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, took a swipe on the proclamation by the Nigerian Medical Association,NMA, that medical doctors were being attacked by hoodlums in the state, describing it as untrue.

Rather, the command said the recent killing of the 27 -year-old doctor by unknown gunmen around Anthony, on Ikorodu expressway, was not reported at any station.

It would be recalled that following the killing of Dr. Irawo Ademolekun, NMA in a statement by its Chairman,

Dr. Francis Faduyile, described the act as wicked and barbaric and called on the Lagos State government and law enforcement agencies to live up to their responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of the populace.
