The Sinkor Rotary Club (RSC) recently broke grounds for the construction of a modern recreation center for children of Monrovia and its environs.
Several local and international members of other rotary clubs attended the colorful ceremony which was held at Duport-Road, Paynesville.
Officially breaking grounds for the construction of the center, rotary international District Governor The'odore Diop lauded RSC for initiating such project.
Pledging rotary international commitment to the project, Governor Diop urged other rotary clubs here to emulate the good example of RSC.
For her part, the President of RSC Dr. Nadu Cooper expressed heartfelt joy so have seen something she had dread become a reality.
Stressing the need to assist the needy in society, Dr. Cooper maintained that the project was part of countless initiatives undertaken by Rotarians around the world to help destitute people.
